We were on our way back. The water never looked so clear and the smell of the sea was filling my nostrils. I was the captain of the SS. Irish Dog. Me and 30 other crew members just found the treasure from the previously undiscovered island in the northern Indian Ocean. We named the island Hukubukali, because it sounded super sweet. I lost 2 crew members due to the man eating plants that were on the island. I really miss those guys, but that's what life is like when you live on the sea.
My crew members were singing and drinking when the waters started to get rough. My co-captain , Michael, started yelling to barren down the hatches, or something, I didn't know what he was talking about. I figured out something was wrong when I saw a tenicle come over the starboard side of my ship and grab one of my crew members, and pulled him overboard. Then 9 more tenicles came from all around the ship. Many of the crew members were trying to get to the lower cabin to get away. Pieces of my ship were being ripped off as the Giant Squid was attacking the ship.
I grabbed my harpoon and shot the giant squid in one of his tenicles. It just made him madder as he continued to rip my ship into pieces. My co-captain, Michael, courageously jumped on the Giant Squid and punched it right in the eye. The squid let my ship out of his clutches and descended back into the deep waters. I owe Michael everything, he saved the crew, and helped us all get back to land. Well except for the one that got pulled overboard, sadly he was lost at sea.
When we got back to land, we split up the treasure between the crew, and repaired the ship. After many years at sea, I turned the captain duties over to my brother, and my co-captain, Michael.
So when you see the SS Irish Dog coming to your harbor, be sure to salute the hero and captain of the ship. Thank you, Michael for your bravery!
