Could You Live the Life of Jesus?

Could you imagine if you were Jesus? Many may think it would be great. You could heal the sick when you see someone who needs healing. You could also help those with just your words. But really think about, do you honestly think you could ever be Jesus?
If you were Jesus, it is your responsibility to be a sacrifice for each and every person's sin from the past, present, and future. Not only that, but you have to be the model for all of mankind. You can't judge, swear, or even gossip, which most of us are guilty of everyday. You would be tempted by every sin and you would have to never give in to any of them. People would constantly look to you for insight and you could never let anyone down because you are who people look to. You wouldn't have a place to lay your head at night, and when you are at your weakest, your friends will deny that they know you.
So as you can see, life as Jesus would not be as glorious as one may think. By ourselves, we could never be Jesus. We are selfish, sinful creatures that can only strive for perfection. But with the help of our Lord, we can be like Jesus. We are called to be like Jesus everyday. The only way that this could be possible is if we have allowed Jesus to live in us. So even if we can't be Jesus, we can try everyday to be like him, as long as we know that we can't do it by ourselves, but only with guidance by the Holy Spirit. Anything is possible through the power of our Lord.
