A Dog's Love

Me and my wife have the best dog you can have. We adopted a french bulldog from a woman who couldn't take care of him anymore. His name is Frankie, which was the name that was given to him because he looks like a Frankie. The first day I met Franks, he ran right up to me like we were old pals. He was so happy to be seeing new people, getting all kinds of attention and love. He lived with my wife until we got married. Whenever we watch tv, he lays on our laps and falls asleep. If we sit on the porch, he wants to sit with us. At night, he has to sleep with us, and if we don't put him on the bed, he starts crying (he sounds like the tazmanian devil when he crys). He has to always be with us.Whenever we are getting ready to leave the house, he gets depressed and just lays around all sad. We then put him in his kennel where he will stay until we get home. Sometimes we won't be home for hours. We recently left him in his kennel for nearly 10 hours. As soon as we get home, I let him out of his kennel, he stretches out his whole body, and jumps around like he is the happiest dog in the world. He acted as if he wasn't upset that we left him for so long. If he was angry, he quickly forgave us. Can you imagine if we were like Frankie with our love? We didn't hold grudges or got angry when someone did us wrong? We'd probably all be in a better place in our relationships. Frankie's love for us is a good picture of Gods love. He constantly pursues us, always wanting us to give him all of our love. He will always be happy when we are pursuing him, allowing him to be a part of our lives. When we leave him, he is sad, but when we come back to him, he rejoices. This is unconditional love, and no matter what, God always has that love for you.So if you have left God, or sinned against him, turn around and pursue his love. He is forgiving, and is waiting for you to turn back to him. When you do return, he won't lick your face in happiness, but he will give you all of his love, which is much better than a wet nose!
